Back Market

Gierd connects to Back Market using an API token from the Back Market seller portal. Once connected, Gierd syncs your orders, listings, returns, and recommerce-specific data. Back Market is a supported Pricing Engine channel — prices are calculated from your Amazon anchor and adjusted for Back Market channel costs.

Back Market supports three regional storefronts — US, EU, and JP. Each region requires a separate connection.

What data syncs

Once connected, Gierd syncs the following data from your Back Market account:

Listings	Listing details and offer data
Returns	Return requests and resolutions
Competitors	Competitor pricing data used by the Pricing Engine
Buyback Orders	Buyback orders for recommerce inventory management

Note

Financial data (invoices) syncs separately via Google Drive CSV files — not through this connection.

Before you begin

You’ll need:

• An active Back Market seller account
• Access to the Back Market seller portal to generate an API token
• Admin access in Gierd

Find your Back Market API token

1. Sign in to the Back Market seller portal.
2. Go to Account Settings → Integrations.
3. Generate an API token.
4. Copy the token — you’ll enter it in Gierd during setup.

Caution

Your API token is only shown once. Copy it before leaving the page — if you lose it, you’ll need to generate a new one.

Connect Back Market

1. Open Connections

   In Gierd, go to Connections in the left sidebar. Click Add Connection, then select Back Market.

2. Fill out the connection form

   Enter the following:

   • Name — a label for this connection (e.g., “Back Market US”)
   • API Token — the API token from your Back Market seller portal
   • Region — select the region for this connection: US, EU, or JP

   Note

   Each Back Market region requires a separate connection. If you sell on multiple Back Market storefronts, repeat this process for each region.

3. Save the connection

   Click Save. Gierd validates your API token and begins syncing your Back Market data.

Back Market and the Pricing Engine

Back Market is a secondary pricing channel in Gierd’s Pricing Engine. Prices aren’t calculated independently — Gierd syndicates them from your Amazon anchor price and adjusts for Back Market channel costs.

• When your Amazon price changes, your Back Market prices update automatically.
• The Pricing Engine won’t set a Back Market price below the channel minimum, protecting your margin on every sale.

After connecting

Once connected, Gierd begins syncing your Back Market data in the background. Check connection status from Connections → Back Market in Gierd.

Troubleshooting

Invalid credentials error

If Gierd reports your API token is invalid:

• Confirm you copied the full token from Back Market — tokens can be long and easy to truncate
• If the token has expired or been regenerated in Back Market, delete the connection and create a new one with the updated token

Wrong region connected

Back Market uses separate storefronts for each region. If your data isn’t appearing, confirm the connection uses the correct Region setting. Delete the connection and recreate it with the correct region if needed.

Data not appearing after connecting

After saving, Gierd begins syncing your Back Market data in the background. If data is still missing after several hours, go to Connections, find the Back Market connection, and check its status for any errors.

Prices aren’t updating on Back Market

Automated repricing on Back Market requires:

• At least one Pricing Strategy active and assigned to your Back Market SKUs
• An active Amazon connection (Back Market prices are anchored to Amazon)
• The connection status showing Connected
